The grind and seal process
In a typical Grind and Seal, the floor is ground twice – although this may vary depending on the desired finish. Once grinding is complete, grout is applied to the floor, followed by two coats of topical sealer in the finish of your choice (eg: matt, satin or high gloss). For a standard garage, the Grind and Seal process can usually be completed within two days. For larger homes or commercial spaces, it may take up to six days. In terms of maintenance, Grind and Seal coatings last between four to eight years, depending of the amount of use.
